Moulin de Gassac is another label from the Guibert family of Mas de Daumas Gassac, focusing on approachable, well-made wines for everyday drinking. This Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from Languedoc vineyards and fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness and varietal purity. The 2023 vintage is vibrant and fruit-forward.
Citrus, gooseberry and green apple with fresh herbs and subtle tropical notes. Medium bodied with crisp acidity and a clean, refreshing finish. Fruit-forward and straightforward with good purity. Classic Sauvignon Blanc character without being overly grassy or pungent. Bright, easy-drinking style.
Serve well chilled (8-10°C). Pairs well with grilled fish, goat's cheese salads, seafood, or works nicely as a simple aperitif. Drink within 1-2 years while the fruit is fresh and lively.

In 1971, Véronique and Aimé Guibert bought a “Mas” (farmhouse) and abandoned mill in the heart of a beautiful, wild valley through which flowed the Gassac river. After consulting Prof. Henri Enjalbert they planted vines in clearings in the middle of 4,000 hectares of forest - he was convinced they had the "terroir" to produce a Grand Cru of the future. The first vintage of their flagship red was produced in 1978 from roughly 80% Cabernet Sauvignon. By 1982, a respected French wine guide described Mas de Daumas Gassac as the “Château Lafite of the Languedoc”. The Rose Frizant was created in 1981, also from the younger Cabernet vines.
Today, the children of the Guibert family manage the estate, storing their harvests in an old cellar underneath the original mill. The four brothers have continued to fine tune the Mas de Daumas Gassac's Grand Vin and broaden the range with varietal wines and blends that offer great value for money under their Moulin de Gassac label.
