Pours deep wine-red with a polished sheen and black-cherry hues. The nose opens into a tapestry of ripe fruit, clove, vanilla, and cocoa, enriched by gentle spice and polished oak. On the palate, expect silky tannins enveloping intense black fruit, balanced acidity, and a mineral-tinged finish that lingers memorably.
Handcrafted in Rioja Alta by Bodegas Muga, this cuvée is a blend of Tempranillo, Grenache (Garnacha), Mazuelo, and Graciano. After fermentation in oak vats, it is aged for 26 months in French and American oak, followed by 18 months in bottle, after egg white fining, achieving exemplary balance, elegance, and depth.
Serve recommended at ~18 °C (decant for 30–60 minutes). Ideal with roast lamb, grilled game, aged cheeses, or hearty stews—the wine’s silky texture and spice-tinged fruit pair beautifully with rich, savory meals.

Bodegas Muga is a family business founded by Isaac Muga and Aurora Caño in 1932, located in the historic Barrio de La Estación (Station Quarter) of Haro. It is home to both the most traditional winemaking methods and the latest cutting-edge techniques. They are the only cellar in Spain with a master cooper and three in-house barrel-makers.
Bodegas Muga vineyards are located on the foot of the Montes Obarenses, within the area called Rioja Alta. The site climate is exceptional due to, on the one hand, the singular geography and orientation of the vines and on the other hand, the surrounding climates – Mediterranean, Atlantic and Continental climates are combined harmoniously thus creating a suitable climate for growing top quality grapes.
The soil in this area is mostly clay and limestone, divided into small terroirs with different physical and chemical qualities between them; each terroir has a unique and defined personality. This variety of climatic influences and different soils influence many stages of the vine growth cycle. The growth will be complex and delicate, key to the potential quality of the wines in this area.
The grape varieties grown are Tempranillo, Garnacha (Grenache), Mazuelo (Carignan) and Graciano for the red wines; and Viura and Malvasia are used for the white wines.

After being fined with fresh egg whites, the wine is bottled, after which it remains in our cellars for at least 18 months for further ageing. This wine will go well with red meats, lamb and all types of game dishes."
