Pinot Noir is thin-skinned, fussy and difficult to grow, and winemakers can’t stop trying. When it works, you get some of the most elegant reds in the world: light in colour, silky in texture, with red cherry, raspberry and, with age, earthy and savoury notes.
Burgundy sets the benchmark, and our range goes from village wines like Fixin and Morey-Saint-Denis up to Volnay, Pommard and Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru. New Zealand is its best home outside France, with Felton Road in Central Otago leading the way, alongside Marlborough producers like Black Cottage. England is catching up fast, with Bolney. Pinot Noir is also one of the three main grapes in Champagne, so this collection includes plenty of sparkling wine and rosé.
