Prosecco is made from the Glera grape in north-east Italy, and most of it gets its second fermentation in large pressurised tanks rather than in the bottle. That’s what keeps it fresh, fruity and light: pear, apple and white flowers rather than the toast and brioche of Champagne. It’s the bottle to open when you want bubbles without ceremony.
Our range runs from crowd-pleasing DOC Prosecco by Freixenet and Mionetto to Prosecco Superiore DOCG from Follador, grown on the steep hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, where the wines get more precise and more mineral. There’s Prosecco Rosé too, plus magnums for parties and 20cl minis for picnics. One tip on the label: Extra Dry is actually slightly sweeter than Brut.
