Malbec started out in South-West France, where it’s still grown in Cahors and Gascony and sometimes called Côt. It was Argentina that made it famous. At high altitude in Mendoza, with intense sunshine and cold nights, it makes deep purple wines full of plum, blackberry and violet, with soft tannins that make it easy to like.
Altitude is the key. The Uco Valley vineyards sit well over 1,000 metres up, and our range includes Finca Ferrer’s single-block Malbec, planted at 1,310 metres. Alongside it you’ll find Luigi Bosca, Terrazas de los Andes, Trivento and Navarro Correas, plus Malbec from Chile and South-West France. It’s the obvious bottle for steak, and good with anything off the barbecue.
