Baron Philippe de Rothschild's Pays d'Oc range applies their Bordeaux expertise to southern French varietals at accessible price points. This Chardonnay comes from vineyards across the Languedoc where warm Mediterranean sunshine produces ripe, fruit-forward wines. Fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness and clean fruit expression. The 2022 vintage has settled with a couple of years in bottle.
White peach, citrus and apple with subtle tropical notes. Medium bodied with moderate acidity and a smooth, rounded texture. Fruit-forward and easy-drinking with the kind of ripe character warm climates deliver. Some of the youthful zing has softened into a mellower profile. Straightforward and approachable.
Serve chilled (8-10°C). Pairs with roast chicken, creamy pasta, grilled fish, or works as an uncomplicated aperitif. Drinking now, best enjoyed within the year while there's still freshness.
