Aged for five months in American oak this 100% Tempranillo [or Tinto de Toro in fashionable Toro!] has aromas of ripe red fruits, roasted coffee and light smokey notes. The palate is full and well balanced, with notes of cherry and ripe red fruit and a long, fairly complex finish.

Discover
This Toro wine is made by Ramón Ramos, a winery with a history dating back to the 13th century and whose underground cellars are now a museum to the history of the estate. Their Tinta del Toro (Tempranillo) vineyards, most between 20 and 60 years old thrive on the poor sandy, stony soils despite extreme winter cold, summer humidity and a high number of sunshine hours. The climate is continental but very dry; all these climatic conditions help to provide exceptional quality grapes, which is what makes this great value wine so special.
