A collaboration between Chateau Beychevelle (the prestigious Saint-Julien estate) and the Maison Barrière, Grand Bateau punches well above its price point. The 2023 vintage is particularly strong for white Bordeaux: warm days and cool nights preserved freshness while building flavour intensity.
Pure Sauvignon Blanc from vineyards around the Gironde. Citrus-driven with lemon, grapefruit and elderflower, but there's weight and texture here, gooseberry fool richness balanced by lime-pith freshness. Creamy without being heavy.
Serve chilled (8-10°C). Brilliant with grilled fish, goat's cheese salad, or as an aperitif.
