Deep ruby in colour with a lively mousse, this Lambrusco opens with inviting aromas of black cherry, redcurrant, and wild strawberry, followed by violet and a hint of spice. On the palate it’s fresh and fruit-forward yet refined, with soft tannins, a creamy sparkle, and a bright, juicy finish that leaves a clean, lightly savoury impression. The balance between fruit sweetness and acidity makes it both indulgent and refreshing.
Made entirely from Lambrusco Grasparossa grapes grown on the sandy-clay slopes of Castelvetro, near Modena, this wine captures the most characterful and structured of Lambrusco’s varieties. Grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a short maceration to extract colour and perfume before fermentation in pressurised stainless-steel tanks (Charmat method). The long, cool secondary fermentation preserves fine bubbles and freshness while highlighting the grape’s natural intensity.
Serve chilled at 8–10 °C. Its lively sparkle and tangy fruit make it ideal with Emilia-Romagna’s regional dishes: cured meats, mortadella, prosciutto, and aged Parmigiano-Reggiano, but it’s equally delicious with pizza, lasagna, or barbecued pork. Its refreshing lift also makes it a perfect aperitivo or brunch companion.
The 2024 vintage has received excellent early feedback, praised for its precision, vibrant fruit, and balance. It’s consistently described as one of the most refined Lambruscos on the market, dry, structured, and beautifully clean on the finish.
Villa Cialdini’s Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro shows just how sophisticated modern Lambrusco can be. It’s fresh, aromatic, and full of character: a sparkling red with the versatility to pair across an entire meal. If you’re looking for something fun yet serious, expressive yet effortless, this bottle delivers authentic Italian charm in every glass.
