"This 50% Cabernet Sauvignon / 50% Merlot blend is a serious offering that shows intricate aromatics of damson plum, black currant, sweet cherry tobacco with underlying notes of sweet cedar oak, bramble berry and graphite spice. The palate strikes an excellent balance between silky black fruit depth, a creamy texture and broody red berry fruit power. Impressive balance and an all round generous personality with a vibrant fresh tangy persistence. A delicious wine from a block buster vintage. Drink on release and over 3 to 5+ years."

The Meyre family, true Medoc winegrowers, have succeeded in maintaining the family estate over six generations. Pioneers of wine tourism, they were among the very first to open their doors to visitors.
Julien and Nathalie are now at the helm, each bringing their own experience and their new dynamic approach. The family naturally continues to work together, choosing integrated agricultural practices that reflect their high environmental values.
The ‘Vignobles Meyre’, a family company located in the heart of the Médoc, near Bordeaux, is made up of three châteaux - Chateau Cap Leon Veyrin, Chateau Julien and Chateau Bibian. When selling their wines, you can be sure of top quality products from world-renowned appellations. For six generations now, the family has striven to produce excellent wines, ensuring the satisfaction of even the most demanding connoisseurs. Quality is guaranteed by the alliance of modern production techniques with centuries of experience in their vineyards.
Château Cap Léon Veyrin has been family-owned since 1810 when the Château Cap Léon and the Veyrin estates were joined. The word ‘Cap’ originally meant ‘head’. The vineyard of Cap Veyrin actually sits on the higher land of Listrac Médoc, and thus boasts ideal natural drainage and sun exposure.
