Champagne Leon Launois Brut NV
Our delicious House Champagne 'Leon Launois' from the Cote des Blancs offers quality, style and great value.
This Brut NV has a complex nose, with stone fruit notes; peach, mirabelles plum, apricot, along with toasted notes. This is well structured in the mouth with marked freshness from the chardonnay grapes, then roundness and generosity from the pinot noir grapes. Champagne Léon Launois Brut is the perfect aperitif champagne, and ideal for cocktails and receptions.
Champagne Leon Launois was purchased by the Mignon family in 2003, to preseve and continue this historic estate, which once belonged to one of the most historic established families in Le Mesnil Sur Oger, a prestigeous Grand Cru listed village in the Cote des Blancs.
The Cuvée Réservée Brut is 60% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Meunier, and between 20 and 40 % reserve wines. The grapes are picked by hand and pressed near to the vineyard. A brut dosage of 9 g/l is added which ensures a balanced style.
