Intensely aromatic, with white and tropical fruits dominating, along with some coffee notes from barrel ageing. There are also some more subtle aromas of dried fruits, nuts and aromatic plants. Thise vintage delivered well balanced acidity and body. Tasty right through the palate with medium length and great elegance, leaving an excellent finish with a touch of oak. |

Orube completes their range with this white Rioja.
Orube Blanco is an elegant and intense Rioja, with aromas of white and tropical fruit. Perfect to pair with some olives while relaxing in the garden on a summer's day, or try with baked fish, vegetable and shellfish tempura, mixed fish and rice dishes.
This wine is made using 45% Viura, 35% Tempranillo Blanco and 20% Chardonnay grapes. The grapes were harvested at night, and following skin maceration the must was racked to begin its alcoholic fermentation in American and French barrels which had been previously selected for their light toast. Following 6 months ageing, the blend was created and the wine immediately filtered. Tempranillo Blanco is a very special Rioja variety as it came from a natural genetic mutation of a stem of a Tempranillo Tinto vine, discovered in 1988 in an old Rioja vineyard.
