Follador is a family estate in Valdobbiadene, the heart of Prosecco Superiore DOCG where the best examples of the style are produced. The Ruiol Castei vineyard sits on steep hillsides where Glera grapes develop more concentration and aromatic intensity than flatland sites. Extra Dry in Prosecco terms means slightly off-dry, with gentle residual sweetness balancing the acidity. This is proper terroir-driven Prosecco from a quality producer. White peach, pear and white flowers with hints of honey and citrus zest. Light to medium bodied with lively bubbles and crisp acidity. Off-dry with a touch of sweetness that makes it easy-drinking without being cloying. Fresh and aromatic with more depth than basic Prosecco. Clean, refreshing finish. Serve well chilled (6-8°C). Works as an aperitif or pair with prosciutto, light antipasti, fruit-based desserts, or Asian cuisine where the slight sweetness complements spice.
