Chateau de la Greffiere is located in La Roche Vineuse in the Mâconnais region of Southern Burgundy. This site has a history of winemaking reaching as far back as 1585.
The Greuzard family has been producing impressive wines at the venerable estate for over four generations and La Roche Vineuse is their top vineyard, containing vines that are over thirty years old. More than half of the vineyards are located in the immediate environs of the winery and enjoy a south-west facing hillside site, enabling maximum sun exposure and long ripening periods. This is ideal for producing classic Mâconnais Chardonnay.
