Felton Road is a benchmark Central Otago estate, biodynamically farmed and widely regarded as one of New Zealand`s finest Pinot Noir producers. Cornish Point is one of their three estate vineyards, planted on north-facing slopes with schist soils that bring minerality and structure to the wine. The 2024 vintage is just released, showing vibrant fruit with excellent structure and complexity. Red cherry, dark raspberry and plum with violet, forest floor and subtle spice. Medium to full bodied with fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. Layered and complex with depth beyond simple fruit expression. There`s power here balanced by elegance and restraint. Silky texture with mineral backbone and a long, precise finish.. Serve slightly cool (14-16°C). Decant for 30 minutes to let it open up. Pairs beautifully with duck, game, wild mushrooms, or aged cheeses. Drinking well now but built to age gracefully over 8-10 years, developing tertiary complexity. [Slurp Wines, 05/06/2026]

Commencing with meticulous site selection and vineyard design in 1991, Felton Road's story is one of refusal to compromise. A strict 100% estate policy with fully organic and biodynamic viticulture (BioGro and Demeter certified) ensures that their fruit arrives at the winery as pure as it can be, while the entire estate comes as close to true sustainability as is possible. A commitment to hands off winemaking: gravity flow, wild yeasts, wild malo, an avoidance of fining and filtration all help preserve the wine's expression of its terroir. The result is Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir which accurately express the authenticity and complexity of their unique vineyards.
