Slurp Wines NR
Felton Road is a benchmark Central Otago estate, biodynamically farmed and widely regarded as one of New Zealand`s finest Pinot Noir producers. Cornish Point is one of their three estate vineyards, planted on north-facing slopes with schist soils that bring minerality and structure to the wine. The 2024 vintage is just released, showing vibrant fruit with excellent structure and complexity. Red cherry, dark raspberry and plum with violet, forest floor and subtle spice. Medium to full bodied with fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. Layered and complex with depth beyond simple fruit expression. There`s power here balanced by elegance and restraint. Silky texture with mineral backbone and a long, precise finish.. Serve slightly cool (14-16°C). Decant for 30 minutes to let it open up. Pairs beautifully with duck, game, wild mushrooms, or aged cheeses. Drinking well now but built to age gracefully over 8-10 years, developing tertiary complexity.
