2015 Bodegas Urbina Rioja Crianza

Salvador Urbina moved to Cuzcurrita in 1870 and produced the first wine wines, including vineyards still used in Urbina wines today. His sons, Ciriaco and Paquita, continued the profession, and then Pedro and Jesús Angel, grandchildren of Salvador, introduced stainless steel tanks to the current cellar.

Currently the winery the fourth generation holds the reins - Angel, Pedro and Santiago are important professionals in the sector, (tasters, researchers, engineers and doctors) - backed by extensive winemaking experience.

Produced only with grapes from their own vineyards, respectful viticulture with organic fertilizers, maintaining the richness and structure of the soil, contributing the unique character to the fruit which goes to make Urbina wines. The cultivation is done in traditional bush and double cordon, without forcing production, with yields between 5,000 and 6,500 Kg/Ha, following traditional practices and limiting the use of pesticides and fungicides. During the fermentation, native yeasts are used that give the wine a unique personality, the complexity of Bodegas Urbina wines.
