Slurp Wines NR
Famille Guibert is the range that showcases specific parcels from the legendary Mas de Daumas Gassac estate. Combe Calcaire (Limestone Valley) comes from a single site with distinctive limestone soils that bring mineral tension and elegance to the wine. This is a step up from their everyday Pont de Gassac range, showing more terroir character and complexity. The 2023 vintage is fresh and vibrant. Red cherry, raspberry and plum with floral notes, dried herbs and subtle mineral edge. Medium bodied with bright acidity and fine-grained tannins. There`s elegance and precision here rather than power, showing restraint typical of cooler limestone sites. Fresh, lifted character with good purity. Clean, mineral-driven finish. Serve slightly cool (14-16°C). Pairs well with herb-roasted chicken, grilled vegetables, soft cheeses, or charcuterie. Drinking beautifully now, will develop further over 5-7 years.
