This Grenache-Syrah blend (75 % / 25 %) pours rich and i0iting. On the nose: elegant red and black fruit layered with violet, liquorice, prune, dates, and leather (full-bodied and nuanced). The palate unfolds juicy and smooth, with refined structure and polished tannins. Drinkable now, yet capable of aging 5–7 years. Additional tasting notes highlight succulent red and black fruits, cocoa and mocha undertones. Rooted in the rugged terroir of Rasteau, where brown limestone soils, skeletal marl, and red sandstone lend character, this wine reflects its e0ironment in depth and complexity. The Brunel family, stewards since 1963, handle production with care: grapes are harvested, fermented in stainless steel, and aged in concrete tanks to accentuate freshness and purity. Serve at around 16 °C. A fantastic match for duck confit, roasted quail with balsamic glaze, grilled red meats, hearty stews, or even chocolate-forward desserts, for a balanced, gratifying pairing.
