2020 Rothschild Pays d'Oc Syrah

'Baron Philippe de Rothschild's winemakers have decided to combine the two terroirs that offer the best conditions for this early variety. The mediterranean terroir combines gravelly soil with a hot climate tempered by sea breezes to give wines with concentrated,super-ripe fruit flavours, body and substance. The oceanic terroir moderates this richness: with a damp climate tempered by hot spells and deep, predominantly clay-limestone soil, its wines bring out merlot's fresher notes.'
