Rosé is made from red grapes, with the juice left on the skins just long enough to pick up some colour. A few hours gives you the pale, dry, delicate style of Provence. Leave it longer and you get the deeper, fruitier rosés of Spain and Italy, like Rioja Rosado or Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo.
Our range covers both: Provence from Château d’Esclans (Whispering Angel, Rock Angel and Garrus) and Maison Saint Aix, rosé from the Languedoc and Gascony, English rosé from Bolney, and pink fizz from Prosecco Rosé to Cava and English sparkling. Pale doesn’t mean better, by the way: colour tells you about the winemaking, not the quality. Serve it well chilled, and don’t save it just for summer.
