Slurp Wines NR
Arzuaga has been a mainstay of Ribera del Duero since the 1980s, known for producing reliable, well-made wines across their range. This Crianza sees twelve months in oak, the minimum required by the appellation, balancing fresh fruit with traditional aging character. The 2022 vintage is recent, offering vibrant fruit with the structure to develop further. Ripe cherry, blackberry and redcurrant with vanilla, cedar and a hint of spice from the oak. Medium to full bodied with smooth tannins and good acidity. The fruit is still primary and expressive, with the oak adding complexity without dominating. There`s concentration typical of Ribera but it remains balanced and drinkable rather than overly extracted. Serve at room temperature (16-18°C). Decant for 20-30 minutes to let it breathe. Great with grilled meats, roast chicken, tapas, or Spanish cheeses. Drinking well now, will continue to develop over 5-7 years.
