Slurp Wines NR
Bachey-Legros is a family domaine in Santenay producing excellent wines across the southern Côte de Beaune. Morgeot is Chassagne-Montrachet`s largest Premier Cru climat, spanning over 30 hectares with varying exposures and soil types. The best parcels produce whites with concentration, minerality and aging potential. The 2021 vintage in Burgundy delivered crisp, structured wines with excellent freshness. White orchard fruit, citrus and flint with subtle hazelnut and mineral notes. Medium to full bodied with creamy texture and bright acidity. There`s tension and structure here showing the quality of the site. Clean, precise fruit expression with chalky minerality running through. Still quite youthful with years of development ahead. Long, mineral-driven finish. Serve cool (10-12°C). Pairs excellently with pan-fried turbot, veal blanquette, grilled scallops, or earthy dishes like porcini risotto. The structure and minerality can handle richer preparations that would overwhelm lighter whites. Drinking well now but built to age gracefully over 8-10 years, developing honeyed complexity.
