Bollinger is one of Champagne's most traditional and prestigious houses, known for their rich, structured style and extensive cellaring. Special Cuvée is their cornerstone wine, blending over 85% Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards with a high proportion of reserve wines aged in magnums under cork. The blend is Pinot Noir-dominated, fermented partly in old oak barrels, giving the house's signature biscuity, complex character. This is benchmark Champagne.
Baked apple, brioche and hazelnut with honey, spice and subtle oxidative notes. Full bodied with fine, persistent mousse and vibrant acidity. There's power and richness here showing Bollinger's muscular style. Layers of complexity with toast, almond and mineral depth. Creamy texture with structure and grip underneath. Long, satisfying finish.
Serve cool (8-10°C). This has the weight to pair with lobster, roast chicken, wild mushroom dishes, or mature cheeses. Also exceptional on its own for serious celebrations. Ready to enjoy now.
