Perola do Lima is produced in the Vinho Verde region of northwest Portugal, where Atlantic influence and high rainfall create ideal conditions for crisp, refreshing whites. These wines are bottled young to capture maximum freshness and often retain a slight natural spritz from fermentation. Typically a blend of indigenous varieties like Loureiro and Arinto. The 2024 vintage delivers bright, zippy character straight from bottling. Lemon, green apple and white flowers with hints of lime zest. Light bodied with refreshing acidity and a gentle prickle on the tongue. Bone-dry with that characteristic slight fizz that makes Vinho Verde so thirst-quenching. Crisp, uncomplicated and designed for immediate enjoyment. Clean, zesty finish. Serve very cold (6-8°C). Perfect summer drinking or pair with grilled sardines, seafood rice, salads, or works as a refreshing aperitif. This is about freshness and drinkability, not complexity. Best enjoyed within months of purchase while it`s young and lively Recommended by James Davis, Master of Wine: ``Vinho Verde is a delightful and refreshing drink from the North of Portugal. With a delicate touch of fizz and crisp citrus and apple notes. Typically drunk by the Atlantic coast in Portugal in sea facing fish restaurants, accompanied by some simply grilled fish, potatoes and a salad. Perfect!``. `
'The Adega Cooperativa de Ponte de Lima - ACPL - was founded in 1959 and came into operation in 1962. Headquartered in Conde de Bertiandos in Ponte de Lima - the oldest city in Portugal - it currently has an installed capacity of eleven and a half million liters, which corresponds to twenty-three thousand barrels. Adega Cooperativa de Ponte de Lima's wines are made from perfectly ripe grapes that produce regional varieties. In white wines, Loureiro has a special expression due to its wonderful adaptation to the 'terroir' of Ribeira Lima, which produces a wine that is highly appreciated for its aroma and good organoleptic qualities.'
