Slurp Wines NR
Chapel Down is one of England`s most established sparkling wine producers, helping put English fizz on the map since the 1990s. This Brut is made using the traditional method (same as Champagne) from grapes grown in Kent, where the chalky soils mirror those of Champagne. Typically a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Non-vintage, maintaining consistent house style across harvests. Green apple, citrus and brioche with subtle floral notes. Medium bodied with fine, persistent bubbles and bright acidity. Crisp and refreshing with clean fruit expression and gentle yeasty complexity from time on lees. Elegant rather than powerful, showing restraint typical of English sparkling wine. Dry with a clean, mineral finish. Serve well chilled (6-8°C). Excellent aperitif or pair with smoked salmon, oysters, fish and chips, or soft cheeses. The acidity makes it versatile with food. Drink within 2-3 years to capture the freshness.
