The founding president of Laurent-Perrier group, Bernard de Nonancourt, was a French resistance fighter during the Second World War and won a Military Cross for his service. After the war ended, ˜Le Grand Bernard' (as he became affectionately known), built one of the most successful businesses in Champagne. 

The legendary Laurent-Perrier style and range is now overseen by Bernard's two daughters Alexandra and Stephanie, who focus on perpetuating Bernard's exacting standards and excellence
