Trenel Cremant de Bourgogne Brut NV
Exclusive to Slurp in the UK. An excellent Champagne alternative, this Cremant is full of white peach, butter and nutty notes. Great value and classy fizz.
Created in 1928 by Henri Claudius Trénel, today this highly-esteemed Burgundy estate continues under the guidance of his son André, and remains a family-focused company. Their winemaking philosophy is shared by the famous family Maison M. CHAPOUTIER, with whom they work in collaboration today. Producing a range of Burgundy wines, the sparkling cremant wine is standout, and offers a serious alternative to Champagne and as such excellent value for money.
This fabulous Crémant is a brilliant gold colour. The aroma has floral notes of acacia, alongside green apple, white peach and butter and nutty notes, from extended lees ageing. The mousse is very fine with small bubbles creating a rounded mouthfeel. There is lovely balancing acidity making this an excellent food-wine, backing complex floral and nutty notes. Ideal as an aperitif, this can match well with white meat, hard cheeses or nutty/praline desserts. Enjoy over the next 2 years.
