Trastullo Vino Blanco, Veneto 2017
A fruity and soft white wine blend, easily enjoyed and perfect for nights in
In 1612 master printmaker Jacques Callot travelled to Florence to work for the notorious Medici family, here he produced a series of etchings documenting the rich variety of life that he found. 'Trastullo' is a character in Commedia dell 'Arte, an early form of professional theatre which originated in Italy in the 16th Century. It also happens to mean 'something which gives you great enjoyment' in an archaic Italian dialect, which is a perfect description for these wines. The wine is made in Veneto by a leading Cantina.
Pale straw yellow in colour, the nose has a fine, fruity and delicate aroma. On the palate it is dry, fresh with gentle floral notes. Perfect as an aperitif, or with an antipasti selection, it is also a good match for green or grain salads, fish cooked in a light sauce or lighter chicken dishes such as chicken & lemon skewers.
