The King's Ginger Liqueur

The King's Ginger is made using fresh, macerated ginger root which is blended with a neutral spirit. Once the ginger is fully infused (around 4 weeks) oil is added sourced from Italian lemons along with molasses and finally sugar. The result is a vibrant, spicy liqueur perfect on its own or used as a mixer in various cocktails.
The King's Ginger was specifically formulated by Berry Bros. & Rudd in 1903 for King Edward VII at the request of his physician. Created to energise His Majesty during rides in his new horseless carriage - a Daimler, the liqueur was made with ginger for it's healing properties and vibrant, zesty flavour. This is a great addition to Champagne or Sparkling wine, and makes excellent cocktails.
