Samos Vin Doux 2016 (37.5cl)
Golden in colour, this Vin Doux has a seductive bouquet of honeysuckle, apricot and honey.
We are delighted to introduce this range of sweet wines from the renowned Union of Viticultural Cooperatives of Samos. The Cooperative was formed in 1934, when 26 of the island's villages grouped together in the face of potential colletive financial ruin. 80 years later, the Cooperative has blossomed, and produces outstanding sweet wines. Samos has been making sweet Muscat wines for 3000 years, and these historic wines were awarded Greece's first AOC in 1956.
Golden in colour, this Vin Doux has a seductive bouquet of honeysuckle, apricot and honey. On the palate it is supple, lemony yet sweet, with medium body, acidity and a medium-long finish.
