Ribas del Cúa Joven Bierzo Mencia 2018
A fresh and pleasant example of the Mencia grape from a family run winery
This wine has a nice cherry red colour with violet tones. The nose offers a great aromatic intensity, dominated by raspberries, cassis, blackcurrant, blackberry and cherry. The palate is very enjoyable being fresh, balanced and long, with a very intense aromatic fruit salad-like finish. Drink over the next one to two years.
Ribas del Cúa is a family winery that began its journey at the end of the 80s. With great effort, more than 250 small-scale farms were planted on the banks of the Cúa River in the middle of the Camino de Santiago as it passes through Cacabelos, until 60 hectares were combined into a single plot: Finca Robledo. The women of the family have taken the reins of this winery, giving a more modern and current image, without departing from the philosophy that gave rise to the company: tradition and modernity. With the collaboration of Ana Martín, the new family generation, always at the foot of the vineyard, is still committed to the care of the vine and the earth, the contemporary and the traditional as the basis of our success.
