Pegasus Bay Chardonnay 2016
A superbly complex and refined Chardonnay made using traditional Burgundian methods.
Pegasus Bay is a small family owned and operated vineyard and winery situated on the free draining north facing terraces of the Waipara Valley. They are meticulous in their vineyard where they practice environmental sustainability. Crop levels are naturally low, producing concentrated wines of character. This complex wine has been produced using traditional Burgundian winemaking methods and will age well in the cellar.
A wonderfully complex array of aromas including peach, nectarine, plum and citrus fruits. The palate is deceptively light and expands in the mouth to become rich and concentrated. The superbly balanced acidity and and hints of minerality give this chardonnay a refined and long finish.
