Magnien Chambolle Musigny 1er cru Coeur de Pierre 2012
A biodynamically made wine with a stunning purity and clarity of fruit
Frédéric Magnien is a firm believer in the power and effectiveness of bio-dynamic wine. All of his vine growing and wine making is set to be in tune with the natural cycles of the moon, with the belief that it enhances the natural potential for the grapes, producing the finest natural wine available.
A seductive and on-point Pinot Noir that has an aromatic nose of red fruit and spice. The palate is complex with plenty of almost stewed red fruit, spice, hints of plum and a gentle minerality. Frédéric uses 50% used oak and 50% clay amphorae during fermentation so that the focus and flavour is all on the quality of fruit. Drinking very well now but this will also age for several more years yet.
