Familia Falasco Hermandad Malbec 2016
A fanastic premium project from the makers of Los Haroldos, ranking in the top 4% highest rated wines in the world on Vivino.
Hermandad Malbec 2016, has an intense violet color with black-blue shades. Its aromas are reminiscent of ripe black fruits such as blackberries, ripe cherries and plums, with floral hints such as violets blended with spicy notes, vanilla and chocolate driven by the oaked toasty bouquet. It is full-bodied, with sweet tannins and a velvety texture in the mouth that finishes long and smooth.
The Hermandad wines have been lovingly crafted by the 4th generation of family members from Familia Falasco wines, the driving force behind the excellent Los Haroldos range. Hermandad prioritise elegance, fruit and the expression of different Mendoza terroir. The first ‘Familia Falasco Premium Wines’ under the ‘Hermandad’ (Brotherhood) label reflect the individual natures of each of the new generation and, just like a family, the blends are stronger when they are brought together.
This complex and elegant Malbec spends 18 months in French oak barrels that add flavours of tobacco and spice to the wonderfully fresh black fruit. This wine is drinking well but can easily age for 15+ years. This wine, only on it's second vintage, is already recieving accolaides such as 92pts from Tim Atkin MW and is rated among the top 4% highest rated wines in the world on Vivino.
