A complex and exquisitely blended white from the beautiful Tulbagh Valley in South Africa
Lemberg Wine Estate is located in the heart of Tulbagh Valley. The winemaker, Janey Muller, established Lemberg in 1978. It became known for its Sauvignon Blanc, its Harslevelu and for being the smallest wine estate in the Western Cape. New German owners, Klaus and Uschi Schindler took over the farm in 1994. Lemberg’s Mission is to continually improve as a boutique vineyard of recognized excellence, via a handcrafted approach to high quality wine making.
The blend of 53% Viognier, 25% Sauvignon Blanc and 11% Semillon provides a complex array of flavours. There is orange zest and delicate notes of spice on the notes, followed with white peach, pear, almond and straw notes The palate has good intensity with a rich mouthfeel and long finish with balanced acidity.
