La Couronne de Marquis de Terme Margaux 2014
A beautiful voluptuous wine from the Margaux Apellation.
Located in the heart of Margaux appellation, the ancient origins of the estate date back to the XVth century, but it’s name was given by François de Péguilhan, Marquis de Terme, in 1762.
In French heraldry a crown represents a Marquis. Today it serves as a symbol of this wine's noble breeding and superb location in the Margaux apellation. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot are grown in the gravelly soil using environmetally friendly methods and are then blended to produce a delightful wine that characterises the elegance of the wines of Bordeaux.
On the palate, the wine is balanced and supple with a pleasant acidity, giving it a pleasing minerality. The structure of the tannins is sleek and mature with superb consistency in the mouth. Pepper, red fruit and notes of liquorice develop in a delicious, long finish.
