L'Arnaude Mediterannée Rosé 2019
A delicious pale rosé - elegant, fresh and crisp.
This beautiful rosé wine unveils elegant aromas of citrus fruits, flowers and spices. It is crisp and fresh on the palate with notes of fresh forest fruits. Great to enjoy on its own and an excellent accompaniment to grilled fish or shell-on prawns.
Jean-Jacques Bréban’s family have been sourcing high quality wines in Provence for over 70 years. Their success as wine merchants in the region has allowed them to carefully select the grapes to make this easy-drinking, fruity rosé to complement the range of wines from their own, recently-acquired estate, Château L’Arnaude.
Château L’Arnaude is a thirty-hectare estate, with twenty of them dedicated to vines, and most importantly, the terroir to produce truly authentic Provençal wines. At its heart stands a simple bastide, a seventeenth century country house, originally to provide a hostel for pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago - it seems fitting that it now offers a small number of stylish rooms for modern travellers seeking more “terrestrial” comforts.
With a careful programme of re-planting and care in the cellar, Jean-Jacques and his family are producing top quality rosés to drink with food, fresh zesty whites and reds that merit a little cellaring, intent on paying homage to the Provence region they adore.
