Ktima Gerovassiliou, Malagousia PGI Epanomi 2016/18

TROPHY Best White Wine - The Wine Merchant 'Top 100' 2017 Silver – DWWA 2017

Evangelos Gerovassiliou is often referred to as the 'godfather of modern Greek wine', he has been involved with vineyards and wine since he was a boy, before going on to work with the late great Prof. Emile Peynaud in Bordeaux. He began to revive his family's vineyards from 1981, virtually single-handedly saving the native Malagousia grape from extinction. Today his estate is leading the way in promoting indigenous Greek grape varieties, and is recognised as one of Greece's truly world class producers.

Tasting Notes

Distinctive aromas of peach, muscat grape, blossom, honeysuckle and pear, you almost expect sweetness, there is lovely nectarine and ripe peach fruit richness on the mid-palate, which leads to a dry finish with mineral and citrus, leaving you wanting another glass
