"The grapes for this Chardonnay were sourced from cool areas throughout the Russian River Valley growing region. We hand-harvested the grapes and pressed them gently. The juice was entirely barrel fermented in 100% French oak, approximately 33% of which was new. Aged for nine months, barrels contributed nuanced spice and toast notes, complementing but not overpowering the classic Russian River Valley fruit characteristics. Each vineyard, block and clone were kept separate until blending, for a total of 28 different lots available for blending decisions."- Winemakers Notes
