Honu Pinot Noir 2014

A great value New Zealand Pinot Noir that simply ticks all the boxes
The Honu Pinot Noir comes from the Wairarapa region - Maori for ‘glistening waters’ – on the southern tip of the north island, New Zealand. The region is renowned for its Pinot Noir; the cool-climate and mineral laden soils lend freshness and complexity to its wines.

Tasting Notes

The excellent 2014 vintage reveals delicate fruit aromas of strawberry, redcurrant and raspberry with a wisp of savoury smoke. The red fruited character follows on the silky, elegant palate with fine tannins, and an appetising savoury edge. The Honu Pinot Noir is an excellent choice when looking for a red wine with finesse. Serve lightly chilled with crispy chargrilled salmon or soft cheeses such as Camembert. Enjoy over the next year.
