Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs 2015
A stunning Blanc de Blanc from one of England's leading producers, Gusbourne.
Matured for a minimum of 42 months on the lees and six months in the bottle, creating an elegant character with aromas of green apple, citrus, buttered toast and Tarte Tatin, with a clean minerality lingering in the finish. Try pairing this English sparkling wine with seafood such as oysters.
The original Gusbourne Estate in Appledore, Kent dates back to 1410. In 2004 Andrew Weeber took over the estate with a clear vision and single goal: to create English sparkling wines that would stand up alongside the very finest offerings across the globe. In 2010, the debut releases of Gusbourne Brut Reserve and Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs were released to critical acclaim. Gusbourne quickly earned a reputation as a producer of outstanding quality wines, with accolades from some of the industry’s most exacting critics. For us these wines are pushing the bar as to what can be achieved, and are among the finest wines from England. The flagship Blanc de Blancs is made using hand selected (predominantly Burgundian clone) Chardonnay from Gusbourne's Kentish vineyards.. The wine is aged for a minimum of forty two months on lees and six months on cork before being ready for release. Presented in a special individual gift box.
