Greywacke Pinot Noir 2015/16
A highly fragrant style of Marlborough Pinot with cinnamon and clove spiciness
The brain-child of Kevin Judd, Greywacke takes New Zealand Sauvignon to the next level. Kevin Judd spent 25 successful vintages at Cloudy Bay as Chief Winemaker and was instrumental the elevation of premium Sauvignon Blanc in the New Zealand wine industry, and globally. His first release in 2009 saw wide-spread acclaim and since then, every vintage has been as successful, firmly placing Greywacke on the 'key New Zealand producers' map.
Sweet-scents of poached plums, raspberries and black cherries with a spoonful of homemade strawberry jam stirred in for good measure. A highly fragrant style of Marlborough Pinot with cinnamon and clove spiciness – a dense structure, generous palate weight and a long, lively finish.
