Gran Tonel 137 Malbec 2012
A well balanced, full flavoured Malbec given 90 points by Master of Wine, Tim Atkin
Toneles was founded in 1922 by the Armando family and then bought by the Millán family in 2002. The Millán family have combined modern technology with vintage spirit to retain the integrity of the original winery. The grapes, grown in high-altitude valleys, are harvested by hand and fermented in small concrete vats. The wine is aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels.
Aromas of ripe plums, blueberries and violets with chocolate and tobacco notes. Rich, delicate and velvety in the mouth with an elegant finish.
