Intense hazelnut flavours, superb on its own, with ice and a squeeze of lime or as part of a cocktail
Hazelnuts from Piedmont are harvested, shelled, toasted and crushed, then infused with alcohol to create a sensational liqueur that can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. Steeped in history, its origins date back more than 300 years when Christian monks lived in the hills of the Piedmont region of northern Italy. Their skills in fine food and drinks included the art of distilling, especially the use of the wild hazelnuts. According to local legend Frangelico takes its name from the abbreviated name of a hermit monk, Fra’ Angelico, believed to have inhabited the magnificent Piedmont hills during the 18th century.
