1] Valdivieso Cabernet Sauvignon, Chile, £7.95
Attractive dark red color. Red fruits, blackberries, sweet spices and subtle vanilla notes. Good volume, strong fruit presence in the mouth, round, structured and with soft tannins.
2] Murphy Vineyards Shiraz 2017, £6.95
Classic aromas of ripe plum and black berry fruit with a subtle peppery spice and hints of liquorice. The palate is mellow and rounded with good concentration and all in balance.
3] Volunte Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2017, Italy, £6.95
Aromas of black cherry and damson with red berry and fresh plum flavours on the palate with a touch of black pepper. All lifted by a gentle acidity on the smooth finish.
4]Les Volets Pinot Noir, Pays de la Haute Vallée de l'Aude 2018, France, £8.95
Aromas of delicate raspberry and red berry fruit follow on to quite a rich yet savoury palate of bright flavours, fleshy fruit and a full finish. A well structured and serious wine which has a nice freshness to balance the rich fruit characters. The wine has been vinified in large, old oak barrels which impart additional texture and intensity.
5] Solar Viejo Rioja Tempranillo 2017, Spain, £7.95
Intense ruby red, aromas of violet, raspberry, strawberry and cherry. Delicate on the palate, with gentle tannins. Balanced, with good acidity.
6] Percheron Old Vine Cinsault 2017, South Africa, £7.50
"Made from cinsault grown on 45-year-old vines, this smooth, slightly translucent, red tastes of cranberries and rosehips. You’ll wonder how you ever did without it." - Recommended by Victoria Moore - Saturday Telegraph
