Domaine Gerard Tremblay Petit Chablis 2018
An excellent Petit Chablis from one of the regions best producers.
Domaine Gerard Tremblay is today overseen by the passionate 5th generation Gérard and his wife Hélène, along with their children! This is one of the most respected and awarded Domaines in Chablis, today with 37 Hectares including 10 in the premier Crus sites. Gérard uses “Lutte raisonnée” sustainable viticulture and takes a lot of care in plowing to preserve the terroir of classic Chablis 'Kimmeridgian' sub soils, giving his wines great intensity, freshness and finesse. There is a small and well-judged use of oak barrels during fermentation, which Gérard believes brings out the best characater in the wine without an obvious oak presence in aroma or taste. These are top class Chablis wines, and our pick is the 1er Cru 'Cote de Lechet' 2017 which is simply stunning, while the Petit Chablis offers great value for money.
This superb quality Petit Chablis from one of the regions best producers is crisp, fresh and vibrant, with green apple fruit, and white blossom aromas. Enjoy well-chilled with seafood, scallops or oysters.
