De Bortoli Noble One Botrytis Semillon 2014
Luscious, unctuous and packed full of flavour. Delicious with desserts or salty cheeses
De Bortoli Wines is a third generation family wine company, established by Vittorio and Giuseppina De Bortoli in 1928. They emigrated to Australia from their mountain village in the foothills of the Italian Alps, near the historic town of Asolo, and their Italian heritage still drives the way the family makes its wine. Vittorio's Italian family values remain at the core of De Bortoli, with a culture of hard work, generosity of spirit and the sharing of good food, good wine and good times with family and friends.
On the nose are a wealth of sweet flavours due to the botrytised grapes including, dried fruits, caramel, apricot and honey. The palate is full bodied, the honey flavours continue and there is a good hit of acidity and citrus flavours to balance the sweetness. The finish is long, complex with the acidity leaving a refreshing taste.
