Cousino Macul Antiguas Reservas Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Medium to full-bodied with good flavour intensity and attractively balanced.
Founded in 1856, Cousiño Macul is the only winery in Chile amongst those established in the 19th century that continues to be run by the original founding family. The name of the winery is derived from the family name of its founder (Matías Cousiño), plus the name given to the area where the estate was built, within the Maipo Valley. Antiguas Reservas are the vineyard’s signature wines - having been in their portfolio for over 80 years. The Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in French oak for 12 months.
Deep and youthful red purple colour. Powerful aromas of cassis, cherry, tobacco and spicy vanilla. Medium to full-bodied with good flavour intensity and an attractive balance between ripe berry fruit, integrated acidity and savoury tannins, which emerge on the finish, alongside notes of liquorice and tobacco.
