Chateau Mazails Cru Bourgeois Medoc 2015
This Cru Bourgeois Medoc is from the exceptional 2015 vintage, and is full bodied and smooth.
This 60% Cabernet anfd 40% Merlot is aged in oak barrels for 12 months. A deep colour in the glass, this has aromas of red berries, plums and blackcurrant, with a touch of smoke and oak. The palate is full bodied, ripe and rounded with plum and cherry fruit. Enjoy now and over the next few years, and is a great match with hard cheeses, roast meats and poultry dishes.
Chateau Mazails was built in 1777 and has been under the ownership of four generations of the same family since, producing excellent wines from the ideal gravel soils of their vineyards. The Chateau was awarded Cru Bourgeois status in 1932 for the high quality of its wines. This 60% Cabernet and 40% Merlot is aged in oak barrels for 12 months and is a classic Medoc style.
