The estate borders Pauillac and St. Julien, adjacent to the vineyards of Château Batailley, and some plots owned by Ducru Beaucaillou.

Tasting Notes

This deep, intense ruby red wine has aromas of black berry fruits, roasted coffee and cocoa that balance perfectly with the oak based vanilla and spice. The palate has a good acidity, with a medium to full weight of cassis and cedar characters. The finish is delicate and silky with a just hint of spice, making this a wonderful match with roast dinners, red meats and dishes with rich sauces. “Forward new oak on the nose with vanilla, powerful black fruits and violets. Rich, flamboyant, concentrated, complex and spicy, with bags of vigour, tight and structured, peppery and long. Shows the character of the Haut-Medoc in the best way. Very, very good.” 93 Points - Decanter, February 2013
